DIY / OVERSIZED COCOON COAT

This is kind of an unusual post, because you can see me on the blog (I don't do it often and I haven't done that since I moved to mbstd, haha). Anyway, I finally finished the coat I was craving for a long time, but couldn't find any proper one in stores. Oversized, long, cocoon shaped - extremely comfortable. The thing I normally do then, is buying fabric and making it on my own! Since I'm not pro yet and I still can't make super-complicated patterns, I always make kimono sleeves. Also had many problems with the lining, but here it is. 

INTERIOR / DIY CONCRETE DESK + MY ROOM

I'm slowly making my room look exactly as I wanted. The desk is a new thing. A thrifted table-top was too usual, so I decided to make something with it. I love concrete and how it gives the industrial look to the interior. After hours of grinding, drying the concrete and tones of dust in my room (I had it even in my nose) I finally have my dream desk. It looks raw and fits to my bulb-lamp from BoConcept, which I found on the market. Denmark is a land of treasures, I always find there something for my apartment, either in second-hand shops or on the markets. Now I feel like a carpenter (maybe I should continue my studies in furniture design).

Dużo rzeczy działo się ostatnio - przeprowadzka, egzamin z duńskiego, kilka raportów do oddania. Rozpoczęliśmy też ostatni projekt przed świętami (jeden z ciekawszych, jeśli nie najciekawszy w tym semestrze), później o nim napiszę. Chętnie przedłużyłabym dobę o jakieś dodatkowe 12 godzin. Pomimo napiętego planu, weekendy najczęściej spędzam w szkole. Mam dużo materiałów i chcę je wykorzystać (życie studenta projektowania mody jest super, brak pieniędzy na nowe ubrania, a pomimo tego zawsze coś nowego się pojawi). Nareszcie mam do dyspozycji świetne maszyny, które nie mają problemu z eko skórą. Najnowszą rzeczą jest moja torba na zakupy, którą miałam na liście do zrobienia przez dłuższy czas. Jeśli wyrobię się z produkcją, przywiozę kilka sztuk do Polski, ktoś chętny? Z niecierpliwością czekam na przerwę świąteczną, już 13 grudnia wyjeżdżam z Danii. Po drodze zatrzymuję się w Berlinie i już nie mogę się doczekać.

If only I could add some hours to my day, I would definetely do this. So many things happened nowadays; I finally moved to my own apartment, passed my first Danish exam, had to hand in several reports (actually I should be finishing one right now, but I'm doing plenty of different things just not to write it) and started a new project. Christmas break is coming and I am super excited about my trip home. First I'm going to Berlin for two days, can't wait! My weekends are also busy, I sit at school and sew new things (great life of a fashion design student - no money for new clothes? Just make them.) My newest item is this shopping bag. White isn't a good idea in Denmark, it got dirty after the first bike ride (that's why all Danish people wear dark clothes). I'm planning to launch a little online store here on my blog. Stay tuned for the details.

SCHOOL / TEKO PROJECT: BRAND DNA / ACNE STUDIOS

Pierwszy grupowy projekt, nad którym pracowaliśmy w ciągu ostatnich dwóch tygodni zajęć dotyczył brand DNA. Polegał on na wybraniu czterech marek/projektantów, których mieliśmy dokładnie zbadać pod kątem ich stylu i przygotować na ich temat prezentację. Dodatkowo, mieliśmy zadbać o kreatywną część projektu. Jako naszą główną markę wybraliśmy Acne Studios. Zrobiliśmy t-shirty inspirowane kolekcją SS/2013. Słowa, których użyliśmy odzwierciedlają filozofię firmy. Lookbook, moodboardy oraz ubrania wisiały na wieszakach podczas prezentacji. Oprócz tego nakręciliśmy kampanię, którą możecie zobaczyć niżej. W którymś z kolejnych postów pokażę również zdjęcia, które zrobiłam przy okazji kręcenia filmu.

Our first group project was about brand DNA. We had to study four brands/designers and present their design DNA. Apart from that we had to think about a creative part of our presentation. We have chosen Acne Studios as our main brand. We made t-shirts with keywords describing the brand's philosophy, lookbook and moodboards. We also made a video campaign presenting outfits in Acne's characteristic style. Enjoy watching and wait for the next posts, I will show you the photoshoot which was made between filming.

DIY / COPPER HANGER

All you need is a metal hanger and an acrylic paint in copper shade. It's super easy to make and the effect is stunning.
